TT automatic short handguns in 9mm Luger, .40 SW and .45 ACP calibers are designed for the American market. However, the company expects to gradually introduce them to other countries. Israel and Switzerland have already expressed interest. We should deliver six thousand units to the USA alone this year, Jan Pěnkava, spokesman for ČZ in Strakonice, told Právo on Monday, noting that the new weapons were presented in February in Las Vegas with great success at the Shot Show by Americanfin11a ADCO Sales Inc. The TT (Tůma. Tanfoglio) pistols were designed by Czech-born gun designer Martin Tůma, who emigrated to Switzerland after 1961, and purchased some of the parts from the Italian arms manufacturer Tanfoglio. The result is a pistol that can withstand comparison with competing products of the same category on the world arms market," Pěnkava stressed. According to him, an important feature of the TT pistols is the fact that the design solution has allowed the application of all three calibers with the maximum identity of parts, with the exception of the breech, barrel and magazine. The body of the gun made of impact-resistant plastic exists in two variants - with the front part extended to the level of the slide and with the rail in front of the bow and with a shortened front part and no rail. The rail is used for attachment of additional devices such as tactical flashlight, laser sight, etc. (The illustrated mounting and optics are not included in the weapon)
