Product detailed description

Rights, obligations, legal interpretation and use of powers in practice.

Every hunting ground is obliged by law to appoint a game warden. This hunting guard is often perceived by the general public and the hunting public as a formal body. In reality, however, its place in the hunting ground is important and irreplaceable. In addition to the competence of a member of the hunting guard, as provided for by the Hunting Act, the hunting guard is expected to fulfil the function of a guardian of legality, supervising the observance of hunting customs, traditions and hunting ethics. For this purpose, the hunting guard is equipped with extensive powers that allow it to seriously interfere with the rights of citizens. Its position is also strengthened by its classification as a public official.

The publication The Rights and Duties of the Hunting Guard in Practice was written primarily for members of the Hunting Guard in an effort to draw attention to the importance of its position, to make its members aware of their powers and duties arising in connection with the use of their authorisations. It is also useful for the information of members of the general public who come into contact with the hunting guards and should be aware of their obligations when moving around the hunting ground and the powers of the hunting guards, including the possible consequences of non-compliance with the obligations laid down in the legal standards.
The authors also sought to draw attention to the fact that the exercise of the right to hunt and the obligations associated with this right are regulated not only by the Hunting Act, but also by a number of other legal norms. Therefore, in addition to describing the rights and obligations arising from the Hunting Act, the publication also includes extracts from other legal norms regulating the exercise of the hunting right and behaviour in hunting grounds. Sample materials for possible use in practice are also included.
