    Gunpowder for reloading ammunition

    Two-component powders contain nitroesters, usually nitroglycerin (10-38%), as an energy substance in addition to the basic nitrocellulose. The powders also contain small amounts of chemical stabilizers or other substances similar to the single-component powders.

    Two-component powders may have a higher energy content than one-component powders. Depending on the type, their calorific content ranges from 3800-5200 kJ/kg. Their ballistic and other properties are generally more interesting to the user than those of single component powders. Dust grains may take the form of cylinders, tubes, plates, discs, ribbons or spheroids.
