The technology, design and parameters are adapted to demanding applications where resistance to mechanical stress, light transmission and good adaptation to different lighting conditions are desirable.

Construction and materials

Framea: Made of Triloid™ nylon - this plastic is very durable, lightweight and suitable for both practical and demanding deployments. The result is a construction that can handle mechanical impact while remaining comfortable to wear.

Lenses: Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses are used, shatter resistant and designed for protective use. T-Shell™ coating provides increased hardness and scratch resistance.

Other surface treatments: Anti-Reflective surface on the back of the lens, oleophobic layer (against dust, oil adhesion), provide better visual comfort even in harsh conditions.

Optical properties and CAPTIVATE™ lenses
CAPTIVATE™ technology is designed to enhance contrast and colour perception. With this version of the Tungsten Mirror, the base lens colour is grey base, which means colours are more faithfully rendered, but with the benefit of a mirrored surface and advanced filtering.

The essential parameter is the light transmittance: this option is listed at 14% transmitted light, thus suitable for intense sunlight conditions or situations with bright light.

In addition, the lenses block100% UVA/UVB radiation, have HEV blue light protection and are suitable for active daytime use.
