The Ekol brand, owned by the Turkish company Voltran, is famous for its production of expansion weapons. Now it is also adding air rifles to its range.

Ekol Thunder FM is a classic spring air rifle with a fixed barrel and cocking by means of a lower lever. The fixed barrel positively affects the accuracy of shooting.

The principle of operation of the spring air rifle with lower lever initiation: when the lower lever is broken, the spring is compressed, which is released when the trigger is pulled and drives the piston forward. This creates a pressure that ejects the ammunition from the barrel.

The rifled barrel in 5.5 mm (.22) calibre has a length of 460 mm, which ensures excellent shooting accuracy.

The Ekol Thunder FM air rifle system is housed in an open ergonomic polymer stock, which is suitable for both right and left-handed users and features an adjustable cheekpiece. The wood-look stock looks very realistic while taking advantage of the durability of polymer materials.

For accurate aiming, TruGlo sights with phosphor fibre on both the sight and the reticle are used. Should these sights be insufficient, the air rifle offers 11mm slots for mounting a scope or collimator using a reducer.

To prevent accidental discharge, the air rifle is equipped with a manual safety that is operated by sliding it forward and backward. The safety is engaged when closer to the trigger and disengaged when further away from the trigger.

The overall dimensions of the Thunder FM air rifle are 1 086 mm and its weight is 2 950 g.
