The Silky Katanaboy 500-5 is a saw whose name refers to the traditional Japanese sword, which has evolved over approximately 1,000 years from early forms in the 6th century to the full-fledged katana of the 16th century. It is this attention to the tradition of forging steel that has created a modern saw that can handle any kind of wood and cut through thick branches with the ease of a samurai sword blade.

The Katanaboy series is the largest saw offered by the Japanese manufacturer Silky. Thanks to a combination of modern technology and tradition, Katanaboy saws achieve high strength and sharpness, resulting in high cutting efficiency.

The blade of the Silky Katanaboy 500-5 is made of high carbon steel and its shape is precisely cut by laser. The surface of the saw is chrome plated, which prevents rusting and protects it from harmful external influences. The main advantages of the Katanaboy saw are the four flat ground teeth of the blade and the ergonomic and extended handle. To prevent the teeth from breaking off, hardening was used to harden only the edges of the teeth, while the rest of the teeth are soft and flexible. Precise hourglass-shaped grinding prevents the saw from jamming when cutting.

The Silky Katanaboy 500-5 hand saw is equipped with a 500 mm long saw blade with 5 teeth for 30 mm blade length. The saw is folded so that the sharp teeth are hidden in the handle, and the set comes with a sheath. This allows you to carry the saw safely to the job site.

The blades are double-edged: the lower part of the blade (near the teeth) is the thickest, the upper part is slightly thinner, and the blade in the middle is the thinnest. This design has several advantages: it has less energy consumption for cutting, effortlessly removes sawdust (it does not get stuck in the wood), very clean cut - no breaking or tearing of the wood, produces a very precise and smooth cut.

The GOM rubber handle absorbs vibrations when cutting and provides excellent grip even when wet or wearing gloves. In addition, the handle always keeps you pleasantly warm, even in extremely cold temperatures.

The high carbon content leads to high wear resistance, so sharpness is maintained for a very long time.
