Outback is a new range of folding saws designed specifically for outdoor and hunting use. Saws in this series have blades with a black nickel-tin protective coating that extends the life of the blade and provides exceptional cutting performance. Thanks to this, the sawsOutback can easily handle both wood and bone cutting. The matt surface also does not reflect light, which will be appreciated by soldiers in tactical use.

Another new feature is the handle material. As these saws are often used in wet and cold environments, a special composite material has been usedArborwhich combines the properties of wood and polymer - it stays pleasantly warm even at low temperatures and its rough surface ensures a firm grip and perfect control.

Safety at work is ensured by a locking mechanism allowing the saw blade to be fixed in two positions (open/closed).

Three times harder teeth

The saw blade is manufactured with maximum precision using laser technology from high carbon steel, resistant to wear and mechanical damage. What makes Silky saws unique, however, is the way the teeth are hardened - the teeth are induction hardened only on the edges, ensuring up to three times longer blade life compared to conventional saws.

The blade is equipped with special teeth with a profileMirai-Mewhich have up to 4 cutting edges. This makes it possible to comfortably cut in the directionsacross, longitudinally and diagonally, and the result is always smooth and clean. The curved shape compared to straight saws speeds up cutting and increases productivity by up to 15-20%. The curvature also prevents the saw from falling out of the cut and makes it easier to work overhead.

Handle made of Arbor composite

Outdoor saws are often used all year round, including winter and wet environments. Therefore, the handle is made of a specialarbor compositewhich combines the properties of wood and polymer - providing thermal comfort, a firm grip and excellent control. Safety is ensured by a rear locking mechanism that fixes the blade when opening and closing. Once folded, the sharp teeth are safely concealed inside the handle, allowing for safe carrying in a backpack or hunting bag.

Technology

Induction hardening of teeth
The tips of the teeth are heated to an extremely high temperature for a fraction of a second - only the cutting edge, the rest of the tooth remains flexible. Induction hardened teeth have up to 3 times longer life, cannot be ground and can be recognised by their black tips.

Teeth without divorce
Each tooth has 4 cutting surfaces and is not divorced - the saw cuts straight and destroys up to 50% less wood cells. The blade is biconcave ground: thickest at the teeth, thinner towards the top and thinnest in the middle. The result is a smooth, clean cut without jamming, tearing or splitting.

Mirai-Me teeth
The teeth with three cutting edges and a polished surface ensure a very smooth cut. Some teeth are ground out for better sawdust removal.
