TheSilky Gomboy 300-10 has a 300 mm long blade with medium toothing (10 teeth per 30 mm blade length), which is perfect for cutting fresh wood. This makes the saw an ideal companion for various outdoor activities.

The blade is made of high carbon steel and its shape is precisely cut by laser. The surface of the blade is chrome plated, which prevents rusting and protects it from harmful external influences. The main advantages of the Bigboy are the teeth of the blade ground in four planes and the long aluminium handle. The teeth have been partially hardened to prevent breakage. Only the edges of the teeth are hardened, the rest remains soft and flexible. Precise hourglass-shaped grinding prevents the saw from jamming when cutting.

Functionality

The extended handle of the Gomboy 300-10 increases comfort and reduces the effort required when cutting. The rubberised handle material prevents the saw from slipping out of your hand, which has a positive effect on our safety. The saw is folded so that the sharp teeth are hidden in the handle. This allows you to carry the tool safely in your backpack or tool bag. Thanks to the locking mechanism, the blade can be locked when cutting. A hole in the handle allows you to attach a carabiner or cable to the saw.

Technology

Electro-pulse hardening

The tips of the teeth are heated to a very high temperature for a fraction of a second. Since only the tip (or in other words, the cutting part) of the tooth is heated, the rest of the tooth retains its cutting quality but also its flexibility. Induction-hardened teeth have a lifetime three times longer than untreated teeth. They cannot be ground and you can tell by the black tips of the teeth.

Uncut teeth

The teeth are precisely ground into the blade, each with 4 cutting surfaces. The teeth are "unfolded" so that the cutting surface cuts directly into the wood, destroying approximately 50% fewer wood cells. The blades are double-edged: the lower part of the blade (near the teeth) is the thickest, the upper part is slightly thinner and the blade in the middle is the thinnest. This design has several advantages: it has less energy consumption when cutting, effortlessly removes sawdust (it does not get stuck in the wood), very clean cut - no breaking or tearing of the wood, produces a very precise and smooth cut.

Rubber handle GOM

The GOM rubber handle absorbs vibrations when cutting and ensures excellent grip even when wet or wearing gloves. In addition, this handle always keeps you pleasantly warm, even in extremely low temperatures.

Silk technology

The blades are made of Japanese Authentic Premium steel and are laser cut. The blades are of unrivalled quality: they are very hard and durable, but at the same time remain flexible thanks to the soft metal core. Hard and wear-resistant - the chemical composition of the metal combined with a unique heating and cooling process determines the high hardness of the metal. The high carbon content leads to high wear resistance, so sharpness is maintained for a very long time. Soft and flexible - By forging the saw in this way, the saw tooth core is composed of soft metal, so the saw remains flexible and grips the wood easily.

Chromed finish

The chrome plating of the saw blade makes the blade surface extremely hard and durable, while reducing friction and increasing blade life. In addition, chrome plating protects the blade from rust and resin. Silky polishes the blade to a silky smooth finish before applying the chrome plating. This allows the blade to encounter even less resistance from the wood when cutting.

Mirai-Me teeth

The razor-sharp teeth are precisely ground into the blade, each with 3 blades, resulting in an extremely smooth surface. For optimum sawdust removal, every so many teeth (depending on the saw model) are ground outwards. This unrivalled patented MIRAI-ME technology allows the saw to be used for 3 types of cutting: cross-cutting (perpendicular to the grain direction), rip-cutting (parallel to the grain direction) and mitre-cutting. For pruning work, the smooth saw cut allows the tree wound to be easily regrown. In joinery, the smooth saw cut provides an excellent finish so that no sanding is required.
