Design and function

The steel used for the blades is Japanese Aichi AUS-8 stainless steel, which is subzero cooled and hand finished for a sharp and durable cut. Hardness reaches Rockwell C ~57-58.

The handle is made of a rubber thermoplastic rubber TPR material (sometimes called Kraton® in older versions), which ensures a good grip even in wet conditions and reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use.

Also included is a sturdy nylon belt sheath to keep the knife securely attached during field use.
