Dan Wesson pistols are modern stainless steel clones of the legendary Colt M1911, specifically its modernized variant M1911 A1 Series 70. They have a lock locked bolt with a classic Browning system with two locking teeth on the barrel in front of the chamber and a short recoil movement of the barrel is controlled by a chain link, attached by a pin in the  bullet under the chamber.
