The PSA AK-V is a modern 9×19mm selfloading carbine inspired by the legendary Russian Vityaz-SN submachine gun, with a number of modern features for maximum reliability, ergonomics and compatibility with modern accessories. It combines the proven design of the AK platform with the low recoil of a pistol caliber and compact dimensions suitable for sport shooting and dynamic use.

The gun uses a simple and reliable dynamic bolt system (Blowback), which ensures smooth operation and easy maintenance. The heart of the design is a pressed 1mm steel breech housing complemented by a forged front trunnion and forged bolt carrier, which significantly increases the durability and longevity of the entire weapon even under heavy use.

The 10.5" barrel is made from high quality 4150 chrome-molybdenum steel with a nitrided finish for increased wear and corrosion resistance. The 1/2×28 thread allows for the installation of most common recoil devices and suppressors for the 9mm caliber. The gun includes a "Tanker Style" double-chambered recoil brake to help reduce stroke when firing.

A great advantage of the PSA AK-V is the top hinged breech cover with integrated Picatinny rail, which allows mounting of collimators and other optical sights. The design is designed so that low-set collimators can co-align with fixed mechanical sights.

Comfortable and fast operation is ensured by the extended safety, ergonomic Magpul pistol grip and the improved ALG AKT Enhanced Trigger with Lightning Bow, which offers significantly cleaner and faster operation than standard AK triggers. Magpul's durable polymer forearm provides a sure grip and light weight.

The model is equipped with an M4-type stock adapter and an adjustable SBA3 stabilizing rest, which allows for compact transport dimensions and comfortable length adjustment.

PSA AK-V uses 35-round PSA U9 magazines and is also compatible with CZ Scorpion magazines, which is a great advantage for the availability of accessories on the Czech market. The gun also supports the use of more powerful 9mm +P+ ammunition and is suitable for shooting with a silencer.
