Fenix HP12R-T is a high-performance headlamp with a practical design that has a separate rear battery case. With two reflectors, it provides a light output of up to 1300 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 200 metresthe reflectors produce well-focused light beams that shine far and near at the same time.
- Main spotlight shines with a cool white light (approx. 6500 K), which is ideal for normal good visibility.
- Secondary reflector has a neutral white tint (approx. 4500 K) that penetrates fog, rain and snow better and is thus great for bad weather.
The main spotlight offers four lighting modes (up to 1300 lm) and the second spotlight offers three modes (up to 500 lm).For maximum output, both spotlights can be activated simultaneously in turbo mode (1300 lm) or low mode (70 lm). For safety and special situations, the headlamp is also equipped with a front red light, red SOS flashing a red light and flasher on the rear battery housing. Power is provided by a replaceable Li-ion battery with 4000 mAh capacitywhich is conveniently charged via a modern USB-C connector directly in the body of the headlamp. Use
From the factory, there may be a battery inside the battery case on the battery insulating cap. Remove it from the battery before first use.
Switching on/off and switching modes - the cooler reflector is switched on by holding the right button (approx. 0.5s), the reflector with a neutral white light is switched on by holding the left button (0.5s). The power modes are switched by briefly pressing the button of the illuminated reflector. The light is switched off again by holding the corresponding button for 0.5s. The headlamps can be switched on simultaneously in turbo mode (1300 lm) or in low mode (70 lm) by pressing the button of the headlamp that needs to be added to the already lit headlamp. The switched off headlamp is switched on to red light by pressing any button twice quickly and switching between steady light and SOS flashing mode with short presses. The rear red light/flasher is switched on by holding down the button on the battery case (approx. 0.5s) and switches between flashing and steady light with short presses.
Locking/unlocking - locking: Control buttons can be lockedto prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - in the off state, press both buttons and hold until the headlamp flashes to indicate locking. To unlock, hold both buttons again until the headlamp flashes and lights up.
Memory for the last set power mode - the headlamp has a memory and switches on in the last set power mode of the respective reflector.
Replacing batteries - unscrew the cap on the rear battery case and remove/insert the battery in accordance with the polarity markings. Replace the cap and tighten securely.
Charging - remove the dust cap on the battery case and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port. Replace the dust cap when charging is complete. Normal charging time is approximately 3.5 hours with a 5V/2.5A USB power supply for a fully discharged headlamp in the off state. The headlamp can be used while charging, but this will increase the charging time. During the charging process, the indicators gradually light up and flash. If all indicators are permanently on, charging is complete.
Battery charge indication - After a short press of any button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED battery charge indicator on the battery case is activated. Four lit LEDs indicate that the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 50-80%, two lit 40-50%, one lit 20-40% and one flashing LED indicates that the battery is less than 20% charged. The indication works flawlessly only with original batteries;
Intelligent overheating protection - when using the headlamp on high power modes for a long time, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the power by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60 °C, the power will increase again to the previous level.
Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode of cooler white light. After reaching the lowest power setting, the headlamp will flash every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. Works only with original batteries.
Notice
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
- Fenix recommends using genuine Fenix ARB-L18 series batteries of excellent quality.
- Remove the battery from the battery case if you will not be using it for an extended period of time or if the battery is dead. Disposable batteries may leak and damage the headlamp.
- Lock the headlamp or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
- Always check carefully that the batteries are inserted in the headlamp with the correct polarity.
- If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost dead - charge it.
- The headlamp is locked, unlock it (see instructions for use).
Warranty
Five years warranty on the headlamp and two years on the battery.
