LifeStraw Peak Series Gray is a high-performance membrane water filter with 0.2 µm pore size that filters bacteria (incl. E. coli, Salmonella), parasites (Giardia, Cryptosporidium), microplastics, sludge, sand and turbidity. The filter lasts up to2000 litres drinking water. The material is BPA-free plastic with 50% recycled plastic. Weight approx48 g. Suitable for outdoor, hiking, survival, travel and emergency use. Meets US EPA & NSF P231 standards.

Restrictions / warnings

• Filterdoes not remove viruses - a 0.2 µm membrane filter lets viruses through. If the water is potentially virally contaminated, another method is needed (e.g. UV, chemical disinfection).

• In heavily polluted water, the membrane can quickly become fouled - requiring regular flushing.

• The filter stops working when it reaches its lifetime (2000?l), after that the water does not pass through - you cannot just "ease the power".
