Self-loading pistols SFP series (Striker Fired Perfection) is the result of four years of development by Heckler & Koch. It is a service-type weapon with a polymer body, straight-action firing pin, drop safety and SA (single action) trigger, which saw the light of day in 2004. Sales in Europe began in 2005.
Currently, the only model of this series is offered in Europe in 9x19 mm Luger calibre under the SFP9 designation.

LPA sights
SD models (with threaded barrel) from 2016 onwards have height-adjustable sights from the Italian brand LPA. They are supplied with SuperLumiNova white sights as standard.
Optionally, this type of sights can be supplied on request for mounting a green silencer raised SuperLumiNova inserts or with light-guiding fibres.
SFP9 version
- Europe:
- SFP9-SF: trigger travel 9 mm, reset 3 mm.
- SFP9-TR: trigger travel 12 mm, reset 6 mm (at the request of the German armed forces, not available).
- USA:
- VP9: standard SFP9 (inference +40 grams).
- VP9 LE: Law Enforcement version, tritium sights with an edge (belt stretch possible), 3 magazines in the package.
