The Kanken backpack was launched in 1978 with the original aim of helping with the back problems that were beginning to appear in a large number of Swedish schoolchildren. More than 35 years later, the Kanken brand has helped to correct the backs of millions of people and has become one of Fjällräven's most popular products, loved by generations of users. The Kanken No. 2 backpack is made from durable G-1000 Heavy Duty double waxed material and features an internal back pocket made from G-1000 Lite. Like its predecessor, this backpack is ideal for casual wear to school or work, but you'll no doubt also use it on trips or when traveling. The main storage compartment has a wide entry that makes packing and unpacking easy. The backpack also features two open pockets on the sides, one zippered pocket on the front and padded shoulder straps that will keep you extra comfortable even when carrying a heavy load. Hidden in the back pocket is a G-1000 Heavy Duty seating pad that you can remove when you want to take a break. The pack can be easily treated with Greenland Wax to increase its durability and resistance.
