One of the new features of the 690 Sporting Black is the all-new Steelium bore design.
The new barrels havecomputer-designed bore shapingwhobetter transforms the shot cluster during the shot. In addition to improved ballistics, the shooter perceiveslower recoilthis is despite the fact that the new 690 is even lighter than previous models, thanks in part to the use of a lighter forestay. This fact is evident when viewed from the side, where the rounded recess of the barrel bundle that fits into the bass is not just an effort to change the design, but greatly increases the seating area when the low bass is closed. The system is so proven and gives the guns from Italian Gardonelegendary durabilitywhich is comparable only among the best products of the world's producers.The glass is supplied in a traditional plastic case with a set of five chokes, allowing to change the firing according to the purpose of a specific shooting situation.Chambers are 76 mm long. Quality walnut stocks have a new type of Microcore boot. The new technology brings better recoil perception and makes shooting more manageable even when using the strongest shotgun shells. It comes with a fixed stock. Another feature is the ability to deactivate the ejectors of fired cartridges. The shooter has the option to easily switch to ejection only mode.

Black variant of the model690 is very elegant. The overall appearance is enhanced by the unified matt finish of the bass and barrel bundle. Compared to the 690 Field, the new model features a perforated connecting rail that better dissipates heat during intense shooting. OCHP Beretta developed the OCHP outer barrel for shooting steel shot, which has higher pressures than conventional lead-filled cartridges. Less noticeable differences between the two models include a wide 10x8mm deliberate rail with light-water sights and a more robust stock type.
