A preparation for boiling and degreasing trophies.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

The bleach-fix  is intended for trophy treatment (skeletonization) and preparation for subsequent bleaching with hydrogen peroxide. The product contains substances that decompose tissue under heat and at the same time degrease the bone perfectly. For this reason, the skull does not turn yellow even after a long period of time due to residual grease that rises from imperfectly degreased bones.

It is necessary to read the instructions for use before use. Failure to do so may result in permanent damage to the trophy!!!!!!
The workflow can be used in two ways:

                   With pre-cooking in water only
                   Without pre-cooking, omit point 4
1)         The trophy is skinned and the muscle is roughly trimmed (it is best to skin the trophy fresh)
2)         Remove the brains, rinse the cerebellum and soak the trophies in cold water for about 1 day. A reasonable amount of table salt may be added (if it is an antler trophy, only the skull is soaked).
3)          If the trophy has antlers it is necessary to protect them, wrap them with pulp or a piece of cloth, the most important thing is to protect the roses and the lower part of the antlers.
4)         Put the trophy in water and boil (it is not necessary to boil the trophy until the tissue falls off completely) after this boiling, roughly trim the tissue once more. Rinse the trophy in cold water and allow to dry slightly.
5)         Boiling in degreasing agent solution
concentration:                      30 - 40g/litre of water
working temperature:               80-90°C, water does not need to boil
immersion time depends on the amount of tissue and age
Watch the trophy so it doesn't boil over. Once the tissue starts to clump, pull the trophy out and brush it off. If the tissue can be removed all the work is partly done. If not, immerse the trophy in the solution for some time and then finish cleaning the trophy.
6)         Let the trophy dry perfectly
7)         Bleach the trophy with approx. 10% hydrogen peroxide (by dipping or rubbing, depending on size)

Allow the bleached trophy to dry and treat with trophy treatment spray.
